We want to establish long-term relationships with our valued customers, so keeping customers happy is very important to SaveOnFabrics.com.
As you might imagine, premium grade fabric cut for an individual project is considered a custom product. As such, most of the better mills either don't accept returns or charge a huge restocking fee. Restocking fees range between 20% and 35%, plus the cost of shipping. If you really, truly want to return a fabric, we'll see what we can do. Of course, the fabric would have to be in pristine condition both when you return it and when it arrives at the mill. Even so, we can't make any promises. Discontinued fabrics are not returnable.
If we screw-up an order or the mill ships the wrong fabric, we'll work something out. We don't want to lose your busines and we don't want you saying nasty things about us.
These guidelines are necessarily vague, because textile mills routinely discontinue fabrics, change policies, etc.
As Ben Franklin once said, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". If you have any questions about a fabric before a purchase, give us a call at (855) 201-6160. When in doubt, order a fabric sample from an individual fabric's product page (above right) or visit a local fabric shop and ask to see the fabric in question.
Inspect your fabric when it arrives. On rare occasions, fabric can be damaged during manufacturing or shipment.
It's standard practice in the fabric biz that damaged fabric must be returned 'as is'. You can't keep pieces you want then send back pieces you don't want. The mill needs the fabric returned in one piece so they can confirm the damage was their fault (pictures alone aren't proof) and to figure out how the manufacturing/shipping process damaged the fabric run.
Shipping to Canada is arranged after the sale. Shipping costs to Canada are not included in the checkout price.
Shipping costs to Hawaii or Alaska may be adjusted after the sale.
Shipping fees are generally based on fabric weight. Whenever possible, we ship fabrics directly from the textile mill to your address. Different mills charge different rates, so shipping charges may vary. The length of time it takes for your order to arrive depends on a number factors, including the distance from the mill or warehouse (usually on the East Coast or West Coast) to your location.
Expect to wait one business week or slightly longer for your order to arrive. In some cases, fabrics are manufactured only after an order is placed. If that's the case, your wait will likely be a couple of weeks or longer.
We do not ship fabric directly to customers overseas. If you purchase fabric destined for another country (excluding Canada) we will ship it to a customs agent/overseas shipper/forwarding agent of your choice. They would then ship it to you. Please note, there may be a surcharge associated with international orders. Also, credit cards are generally not accepted for international orders (excluding Canada). Please call if you have any questions.
